Retry & Circuit Breaker

The connect agent handles upstream failures gracefully with automatic retry and circuit breaker logic.

  • API Domain Failures: Automatically retried with a 2-second delay before returning an error to the client.
  • Web Domain Failures: Fall back silently to direct passthrough so the user’s browsing experience is uninterrupted.
  • Circuit Breaker: When AgentWatch is down, the circuit breaker prevents cascading failures by short-circuiting requests according to the configured fail-open or fail-closed policy.
