Overview

Interplay is Iterate.ai’s low-code platform for building, running, and scaling agentic AI workflows across enterprise systems. Teams compose AI agents, LLM calls, business logic, and integrations on one visual canvas — or in code — and deploy them into their own environment. Interplay is hardware-agnostic and runs on-premises, in a private cloud, at the edge, or fully air-gapped, so prompts, data, and models stay inside the organization’s boundary.

Interplay is built for enterprise teams that need to ship AI-powered applications quickly without handing their data to a third-party SaaS: platform and integration engineers wiring AI into existing systems of record, data and AI teams building agentic workflows, product teams prototyping and then productionizing on the same platform, and IT/security teams that need on-premises control, SSO, and auditability.

  • Visual Builder & SDK — drag-and-drop canvas, inline JavaScript/Python, and flow-aware version control; build visually, in code, or both.
  • AI Agents & LLM Orchestration — multi-provider LLM nodes, agents with tools, MCP support, vector search, and RAG pipelines.
  • AgentOne Coding Agent — a full AI coding agent built into the platform, so application code is generated and debugged without leaving Interplay.
  • Custom Nodes & Extensibility — describe a node in plain English and have Interplay generate and deploy it, or install from the node registry and npm.
  • RPA & Document Automation — document classification, OCR/extraction, and robotic process automation nodes with a built-in trainer.
  • Integrations — a palette of 600+ prebuilt nodes spanning enterprise systems, databases, cloud AI/ML services, messaging, commerce, and IoT.
  • Security & administration — enterprise SSO via SAML, role-based access, and a secrets wallet so credentials are never pasted into flows.

Iterate.ai positions Interplay as delivering application development up to 17× faster than conventional build-from-scratch approaches, with published customer patterns of prototyping in days rather than weeks or months. The gain comes from three places: a large prebuilt node palette instead of bespoke integration code, one canvas for AI plus business logic instead of a stitched-together stack, and deployment that is a property of the workspace rather than a separate release pipeline.

Interplay is hardware-agnostic and deploys as a container, as a desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux, or as a self-extracting Linux server package. It runs across Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, and Qualcomm silicon, and supports cloud, on-premises, edge, and air-gapped environments. See Deployment.

How does Interplay relate to the rest of the Iterate.ai suite?

Section titled “How does Interplay relate to the rest of the Iterate.ai suite?”

Interplay is the build-and-orchestrate layer. It pairs with Lifeboat as a private inference engine for the models the flows call, AgentWatch as the governance and observability gateway in front of those model calls, and Generate for end-user AI assistants over enterprise knowledge.
