Release Notes
Interplay’s current major release is version 8. This page summarizes the notable changes at a product level; contact your Iterate.ai representative for the detailed per-build changelog for your deployment.
Interplay v8 — highlights
Section titled “Interplay v8 — highlights”AgentOne built in. A full AI coding agent now runs alongside your flows, so application and node code is generated, edited, and debugged inside the platform instead of in an external tool. See AgentOne Coding Agent.
AI-generated custom nodes. Describe the node you need in plain English and Interplay drafts, generates, and deploys it directly into your palette.
Enterprise SSO. Single Sign-On via SAML, configurable by hand or by uploading the identity provider’s metadata XML, with connection testing during setup.
Secrets wallet. Credentials and API keys are stored once in the platform and granted by role, rather than pasted into individual flows.
Advanced AI workflows. Multi-provider LLM and agent nodes with Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool support, large-dataset handling, vector storage and semantic search, and integrations into AWS SageMaker and Google Vertex AI.
RPA and document automation. Document-classification training and robotic-process-automation nodes for driving systems that expose no API, with an OCR/document-AI deployment variant available.
Platform and packaging. A single self-contained runtime with signed desktop installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux; hardened non-root container images; ARM64 builds alongside x86_64; and in-place flow reload and redeploy without a process restart.
Security hardening. An ongoing hardening stream across the v8 line — closing unauthenticated access paths, tightening administrative API input validation, front-end dependency upgrades, and reducing the runtime image’s vulnerability surface.
What was retired
Section titled “What was retired”Some earlier v8 surfaces were removed as the product focused: the Jupyter notebook integration, the legacy visual page builder, and the Figma code-generation experiment are no longer part of the platform. Their use cases are now served by the built-in AgentOne coding agent and the dashboard/app templates.
