Navigate to: Settings → Plugins

Gateway Plugins are sandboxed JavaScript functions that run at specific lifecycle hooks (pre-request, post-request, pre-response, post-response, on-error) and can modify, block, or log gateway traffic.

Cross-reference: Full documentation at section 7.8.

Quick steps:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Plugins.
  2. Click Add Plugin or select a Template (Rate Limiter, Request Logger, Header Injector, etc.).
  3. Write or edit the plugin code in the editor.
  4. Set the Route Filter to limit which routes trigger this plugin (e.g., * for all, /v1/chat/* for chat only).
  5. Set the Hook (lifecycle stage).
  6. Toggle Enabled on and click Save.

How to test: Use the Request Logger template, save it, and send a request — check the plugin logs tab to confirm the request payload was captured.
